Gallery ip telephony enables
Smooth migration to “all ip” voip deployments based on ims / packetcable 2.0
SCTE Cable-Tec EXPO 2006, Denver, CO, USA - Gallery IP Telephony, a worldwide leader in IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) based solutions that enable simple and fast rollout of IP Telephony services and Multimedia applications over any broadband network successfully launched two new offerings to meet the evolving IP network challenges.
While the industry continues to deploy Softswitches, new
IMS specifications have been defined and were adopted as the
de-facto standard for wireline and wireless environments. The
transition from stand-alone softswitch deployments to an IMS
/ PacketCable2.0 based solution is a significant change in concept,
from architecture with a PSTN orientation to an "all IP" solution.
This transition brings along many advantages such as convergence
of the infrastructures, introduction of Fixed Mobile Convergence
(FMC), and Advanced Applications and Sevices. This change from
one technology to another also creates new challenges in
the network aspects such as Provisioning, Routing, Operation
and Management.
Gallery has a wide range of technologies and products that enable
the service providers to continue the deployment of softswitches
side by side with executing a smooth migration to IMS
/ PacketCable 2.0 while leveraging earlier investment in
existing products and technologies. Gallery’s expanded
offering supports smooth migrations from a single-switch-based
solution to a network-based architecture in all IP environments.
With advanced new capabilities Gallery's technology doesn't necessarily
come to replace existing switches, but rather it does offer significant
advantages in simplifying mass
deployments of large scale networks (millions of subscribers),
while
addressing and resolving network issues that appear in such large
scale
deployments, and last but not least allowing to combine most
effectively
advanced features and services, to continuously keep our customers
ahead of
competition, all in the contexts of IMS / PacketCable 2.0.
Gallery’s technology and products are available in
two main offerings:
- 1) End-to-end solution - suitable for
service providers that haven't got a softswitch installed as
yet, or that are interested in an additional softswitch.
- 2) Stand-alone components - these meet the needs of service
providers that are interested in enhancing their solutions
and upgrading the system to an all IP environment while addressing
all the issues related with the migration.
